Nevada gaming chief warns prediction markets could expand into casino games
Nevada Gaming Control Board chairman and executive director Mike Dreitzer said at a State Bar of Nevada conference that prediction markets could extend from sports contracts into casino games and slots. He argued that operators using these markets rely on federal financial regulation to avoid state gaming laws; no prediction casinos have launched, the report said.
The warning raises the prospect of prediction-market activity reaching casino games and online gambling in Nevada.
