NCLGS seeks academic partners for 18-month US gambling impact study
The National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) issued a request for proposals to find academic institutions to help conduct a national study of gambling’s social, economic and political effects in the United States. The planned study is expected to run for about 18 months and examine legal and illegal gambling, including taxation, public policy and regulatory oversight. Its commission is expected to include about 11 public-sector members.
The study could inform state and federal policymakers’ future decisions on gambling policy and regulatory oversight.
