Montana Lottery halts Millionaire sales after 2,010 instant wins

Regulation

The Montana Lottery suspended Montana Millionaire ticket sales on 1 November after 2,010 of 12,919 tickets sold were instant winners, lottery director Bob Brown said. The lottery said it would honour $608,600 in prizes and replenish the prize pool, with Bally’s Intralot absorbing the additional cost; officials had not announced a reopening date by 3 November.

The suspension and supplier-funded prize costs affect lottery operations and the timing of further ticket sales.
