The Malta Gaming Authority said it had no connection with 12 gaming sites identified during September 2026. The regulator said references on those platforms to the MGA or purported licences it had issued were false and misleading, and advised consumers to check whether a provider is authorised.
The Keurmerk Verantwoorde Affiliates (KVA) warned that illegal gambling businesses are trying to influence Google’s search suggestions, according to its LinkedIn post. The organisation said its checks found suggestions linking popular gambling searches to domains advertising casinos without a valid Dutch licence, including prompts referring to play without Cruks.

Türkiye's General Directorate of the National Lottery Administration (MPI) has identified Curaçao, Malta, the Isle of Man and Seychelles as licensing jurisdictions used by illegal online betting platforms targeting Turkish users. The assessment found most unauthorised services operate from outside Türkiye, with the United States the largest hosting location, followed by the Isle of Man, Armenia and Colombia. Amnesty International said its review connected at least 12 sites linked to reported abuses with recognised casino complexes in Cambodia. The organisation said the CGMC approved casino operators’ project plans in December 2025 and January 2026, while victims reported being detained, abused and forced to work in scam operations on casino grounds. Amnesty called for licence withdrawals, independent investigations and prosecutions; the CGMC and companies had not responded to its findings at publication.
