MGA urges clearer escalation procedures after suspicious betting review

Regulation

The MGA said its review of licensees’ suspicious betting reports found that low report counts alone do not show inadequate monitoring. Fieldwork conducted from Q2 to Q4 2025 identified restrictive market practices and reliance on external monitoring as factors, while the regulator called for better-documented escalation procedures.

MGA licensees may need to document reporting workflows and clarify internal responsibilities for escalating integrity concerns.
