Merkur Group said it has agreed to acquire White Hat Studios for an undisclosed amount, subject to regulatory approvals. The deal excludes White Hat Gaming’s platform and white-label businesses, which will remain under their current ownership.

Cashpoint has operated under the Merkur Bets brand in Denmark since 22 September 2026, reportedly, as part of Merkur Group’s international betting rebrand. The relaunch includes an EveryMatrix platform combining retail and online sports betting, adds online casino to Cashpoint’s Danish offer for the first time and is prompting nearly 200 venues to update their branding.
EveryMatrix Group Commercial Director Daniel Clark cited its work with Danish state-owned operator Danske Spil, including modernising a platform launched in 2012. Clark also referred to work with Norsk Tipping, OPAP, Merkur Group and Betsson, and said EveryMatrix had announced an agreement with Sky City in New Zealand the previous year.

Clark said the operator had found it hard to expand its footprint. Describing the outcome, he said the company was able to show it had the tools to help capture new players in that market.
Cashpoint has operated its Danish sports betting service as Merkur Bets since 22 September 2026, according to the report. The relaunch adds an online casino to the offering for the first time and is part of Merkur Group’s plan to unify its European sports betting operations.
