Mauritius receives six bids for state-run casinos
Mauritius’ State Investment Corporation received six offers for its state-run casinos, with five from international investors and one from a local operator. No buyer has been selected; the bid review is expected to finish on 30 September, while unions are seeking guarantees on jobs, unpaid wages, seniority and existing rights.
The outcome will determine ownership of the state casinos and the terms affecting their employees.
