Massachusetts Gaming Commission reports positive-play survey findings for 2025 bettors
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission released a study on 2 June 2026 measuring responsible-gambling beliefs and behaviours among Massachusetts residents who had used online sports wagering or physical casinos in the previous six months. Most respondents reported taking ownership of their gambling, being honest about it and feeling in control, while pre-commitment results were mixed and gambling literacy scored lowest. The commission said the survey reflected highly engaged gamblers, not the general player population.
The findings identify gambling literacy and pre-commitment as areas regulators may consider in responsible-gambling work.
