Maine poll finds 64% oppose legalising online casino gambling
A poll commissioned by the National Association Against iGaming found that 64% of Maine voters opposed legalising online casino gambling, while 16% supported it. The poll surveyed 500 likely voters from 13 to 16 December 2025; the Maine Gambling Control Board had urged Governor Janet Mills to veto proposed bill LD 1164, which would allow the state’s four tribes to offer online casino games.
The poll and the board’s stated concerns form part of the debate over LD 1164’s proposed tribal online casino market.
