Madeira approves international tender for Funchal casino concession

Madeira’s Regional Government approved an international tender for the next exclusive operating concession at Casino do Funchal, reportedly. The current concession is due to expire on 31 December 2026, and interested parties must first pass a prequalification stage assessing financial strength and technical capacity. ITI/Grupo Pestana will not receive an automatic renewal and must compete with other applicants.

The tender could determine which operator runs Casino do Funchal after the current concession expires.

Lotería del Chubut invited bids to operate the Esquel casino and its adjoining venue, with offers due to open in Rawson on 19 November 2026 at 11:00.
