Lottery retailers urge Spain to regulate online sales amid SELAE platform plan
Spanish lottery retailers presented a report calling for clearer rules on online lottery sales and criticising SELAE’s planned single online platform. The report estimates that online sales linked to retailers generated about €1.5bn of a €10.3bn lottery market in 2024, while retailers say their profitability has fallen by more than 60% over two decades.
Any rules or platform changes could affect retailers’ online sales and their relationship with lottery customers.
