Lotteritilsynet sends information letters over possible gambling adverts

Enforcement & compliance

Norway’s Lotteritilsynet sent more than 10 information letters to private individuals who shared Facebook group content the authority considered potential advertising for unlicensed gambling operators. The letters say the regulator did not conduct a supervisory investigation or determine whether a breach occurred, and ask recipients to confirm receipt.

The letters alert individuals to potential advertising concerns without making a formal breach finding.
