Light & Wonder unveils FIREBIRD cabinet at G2E Las Vegas

Deals & M&A · SectorWire deskSource published 2 min read

Light & Wonder presented FIREBIRD, a new casino cabinet, at G2E Las Vegas 2026, the company said. The cabinet has a 55-inch main screen and a 32-inch upper screen, together with MLED lighting wings that produce dynamic fire effects and a 3D audio system. The presentation was reported, which carried a company communication.

The FIREBIRD launch formed part of a wider hardware update from Light & Wonder at the show. The company also presented COSMIC HALO and LIGHTWAVE SOLAR; the latter moves the LIGHTWAVE immersive concept, designed for banks of machines, to a single, modular and configurable unit intended to help operators fit different spaces and layouts. Its content includes HUFF N’ PUFF OPEN HOUSE.

On the games side, Light & Wonder presented licensed titles led by KONG: SKULL ISLAND UNCHAINED, alongside GREMLINS, WILLY WONKA WONDROUS BONBON VOYAGE, THE WIZARD OF OZ, BACK TO THE FUTURE, CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON and THE WOLF MAN. The line-up also includes titles linked to ULTIMATE FIRE LINK and HUFF N’ PUFF.

Other products shown at G2E included MULTIDECK ULTRA, a new generation of professional shufflers with card recognition using artificial intelligence, a true random number generator, a multilingual interface and modular components for maintenance; NEXLINK, a new progressive platform for table games with more jackpot, bonus and connectivity options for operators; and the OBSIDIAN standalone, OBSIDIAN HYBRID and OBSIDIAN VIRTUAL PIT electronic and hybrid table solutions. In casino management systems, Light & Wonder showed analysis tools using artificial intelligence and dynamic marketing.

The online business was also covered, with new HUFF N’ PUFF content, ULTIMATE FIRE LINK TRIPLE NOVA and LION LINK FORTUNE, as well as digital adaptations of titles from land-based casinos. Matt Wilson, president and chief executive of Light & Wonder, said the offer combines recognised brands, franchises developed by the company and new hardware solutions. According to Wilson, the strategy seeks to draw on the depth of the games catalogue and pair it with technology so that operators can offer differentiated experiences to their customers.
