KSA urges Dutch online gambling operators to strengthen player protection
The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) urged licensed operators to do more on player protection and addiction prevention in a speech on 4 June 2026. Ella Seijsener, speaking for the authority’s board, said the online market had stagnated, with operator numbers, gross gaming revenue, player numbers and channelling broadly unchanged from six months earlier. The KSA said it plans to make supervision more risk-focused.
Operators may face greater supervisory attention on player protection as the KSA shifts towards risk-focused oversight.
