KSA reports four 2025 alerts involving athletes betting on their own sports
The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) reported 12 suspicious-betting notifications from nine licensed operators in 2025, compared with 13 the previous year. Four notifications concerned athletes betting on their own competitions, up from none in 2024; operators cancelled the bets, and some also closed the accounts, the report said.
Operators must address athlete betting on their own competitions, which prompted cancelled bets and some account closures.
