NCAA members block rule allowing athletes to bet on professional sports
NCAA Division I members voted on Friday to rescind a rule change that would have allowed athletes and athletic department staff to bet on professional sports. The NCAA said the vote threshold was met before the 30-day review period ended; the ban will remain in force across Divisions I, II and III.
Operators must continue to exclude professional sports betting by NCAA athletes and athletic department staff under the organisation’s rules.
