Enforcement & compliance

The Kansspelautoriteit rejected Polymarket’s objections to a €420,000 penalty after the platform failed to block Dutch users by the 17 February 2026 deadline, according to a decision published on 23 June 2026. The regulator said the blocking measures began a day late and upheld its view that the platform offered gambling in the Netherlands; the objection to publication of the order was also rejected.

The decision maintains the Dutch regulator’s enforcement action against Polymarket’s offering to users in the Netherlands.
