KSA clarifies online operators’ player-protection duties in guidance

Regulation

The Netherlands’ Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) published guidance on online licensees’ player-protection duties, following research conducted in 2025 and discussions with operators in December. The documents explain how operators should handle conversations with at-risk players and report cases to the Cruks exclusion register; the KSA said they clarify existing duties rather than add new ones.

Online licensees receive operational guidance on player interventions and reporting possible serious gambling harm to the KSA.
