Kogem CEO says Italy’s online gambling market has 50 concessions

Regulation

Kogem CEO Salvo Vullo said Italy’s online gambling market is changing following a new concessions tender, according to a media report. He cited 50 concessions costing €7m each, said new platform certifications were still outstanding, and called for more technical discussions between operators and institutions. Vullo also referred to a requirement to allocate 0.2% of concessionaires’ profits to responsible-gambling initiatives.

The reported concession costs and outstanding platform certifications bear directly on operators’ compliance and investment planning.
