The Kansspelautoriteit fined JOI Gaming Limited €400,000 for using role models in advertising linked to JACK'S Racing Day 2023, according to the regulator. JOI had previously removed the social media posts after receiving an order subject to a penalty; a court granted the company interim relief, delaying publication of the fine decision, which was made on 17 December 2024.
The fine concerns advertising linked to both JACK'S land-based brand and Jacks.nl, the event’s online sponsor.
