Kalshi suspends Laurie Buckhout for three years over campaign-related trades

Enforcement & compliance

Kalshi suspended Republican congressional candidate Laurie Buckhout from its platform for three years after she traded on an event related to her own campaign, reportedly including a $1,000 position. Buckhout agreed to a fine of more than $2,500 and said she had made a mistake; Kalshi said she disclosed information and co-operated with its investigation.

The suspension and fine show Kalshi’s response to a candidate trading on an event related to her own campaign.
