Italy’s MEF weighs gambling levies for 2027 budget
Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance is considering provisional gambling-sector measures for the 2027 budget, reportedly worth €400 million to €500 million. Proposals include extending retail concessions through 2029 and preparing a future scratch-card concession tender; none has been included in the draft Budget Law, and the measures remain subject to change.
Operators may face changes to concession terms and fees if the proposals enter the 2027 Budget Law.
