Italy's government sends EU court ruling on AGCOM-Google dispute to parliament
Italy's Department for European Affairs sent parliament a Court of Justice of the European Union ruling dated 16 July 2026 concerning AGCOM and Google Ireland. The ruling interprets the e-commerce directive in relation to gambling, online advertising and hosting-platform responsibility; parliamentary committees were assigned to examine it.
The ruling gives parliamentary committees a basis to examine responsibility for gambling advertising and hosting platforms.
