Italy’s Guardia di Finanza said officers in Vibo Valentia found messages indicating that a betting shop accepted wagers and requested account top-ups through WhatsApp. The authorities seized the premises and a phone as evidence and precautionary measures, and referred those responsible to judicial authorities over alleged illegal betting intermediation.
