Italian investigators seize betting shop in Naples mafia probe
Italy’s anti-mafia investigators seized a betting shop among assets linked to an investigation into alleged members of the Russo-Schiavone faction of the Casalesi clan. Investigators allege the group collected bets through both legal networks and illegal platforms, and that proceeds were reinvested in businesses including the shop. Authorities seized 14 companies and other assets valued at more than €2m.
The seizure concerns a betting business allegedly used to reinvest proceeds from criminal activity.
