iGaming Ontario introduces central self-exclusion system for 82 sites

Regulation

iGaming Ontario introduced its BetGuard central self-exclusion system for the province’s licensed gambling websites, according to the report. The system was not yet operational; the report said it would allow users to exclude themselves from 82 licensed websites through one platform. Ontario operators would have to display BetGuard and block access and communications for centrally excluded users, among other requirements described by the AGCO.

Once operational, BetGuard will require Ontario operators to support central exclusions and block access and communications for excluded users.
