Ontario Liberal MPP introduces Bill 107 to ban online gambling advertising
Ontario Liberal MPP Lee Fairclough introduced Bill 107 in the provincial legislature on 20 April; the proposal would prohibit online gambling operators and business partners from advertising in the province. The bill passed its first vote and was ordered for second reading. It proposes fines of up to $1 million for violations and possible licence loss for repeat offenders.
Operators and business partners may face advertising restrictions, fines or licence loss if the bill is enacted.
