Great Canadian agrees to sell Elements Casino Surrey to Semiahmoo entity
Great Canadian Entertainment agreed to sell Elements Casino Surrey to SE-MI-AH-MU Development Corporation, the economic development arm of Semiahmoo First Nation. Completion remains subject to financial commitments, customary closing conditions, regulatory approval and City of Surrey approval; the price was not disclosed. Great Canadian will provide transition services for up to one year after closing.
The proposed sale would transfer the casino to a First Nation development corporation, subject to regulatory and municipal approvals.
