Ireland’s Gambling Regulatory Authority welcomed the launch of the Gameplan initiative on 24 April 2026. The programme, supported by the Gambling Awareness Trust, offers tools to help athletes, coaches and clubs address gambling-related risks, the GRAI said.
The initiative gives sports organisations resources to identify gambling-related harm and support affected members.

GRAI said it signed a memorandum of understanding with NGCB. It is GRAI’s first agreement with a US gambling regulator and provides a basis for cooperation and sharing regulatory practices.
