GRAI launches campaign to help parents identify gambling risks among young people
Ireland’s Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRAI) launched a campaign last week to help parents recognise signs of gambling-related risks among young people. The regulator highlights indicators including secretive money or online behaviour, borrowing, unexplained spending, mood changes and growing interest in gambling content, and encourages early conversations about gambling and game mechanics such as loot boxes.
The campaign gives operators and regulators a public-prevention approach focused on underage gambling and gambling-like features in games.
