Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) plans to close its Alira platform in Spain during 2027, the company announced alongside its results for the third quarter of 2026. GiG said the closure is intended to produce additional savings and to consolidate its technology offering, while the company plans to increase its focus on CoreX.

For Q3 2026, GiG reported revenue of €8.5m and adjusted EBITDA of €0.8m, a margin of 9%. Cash and cash equivalents stood at €8m, compared with €3.5m as of 30 June 2026.

The company also said it acquired 80% of 888AFRICA, a transaction it describes as establishing a second growth engine. In Canada, GiG launched three new brands in Alberta during the quarter, signed an agreement with a new partner and expanded an existing commercial relationship.

For 2027, GiG said it expects combined revenue of between €85m and €90m, with adjusted EBITDA of between €17m and €19m for the first full year, including 888AFRICA.

GiG retains a physical presence in Spain, with an office at avenida Ricardo Soriano, 21, in Marbella (Málaga). The planned closure of Alira Spain would mark a change in its activity in the national market as part of its reorganisation and technology optimisation plans.
