Deals & M&A1 min read

Genius Sports raised its 2026 revenue forecast to $1.015bn-$1.035bn and adjusted EBITDA guidance to $287m-$297m, following Q3 partnerships with Kalshi and Polymarket. The company reported Q3 revenue of $269.9m and adjusted EBITDA of $87.1m, while its year-to-date net loss was $147.9m; CEO Mark Locke said the business was benefiting from its combined scale after acquiring Legend.

Genius Sports has lifted its expectations for revenue and EBITDA in 2026. Leadership expects 2026 revenue between $1.015bn and $1.035bn, with adjusted EBITDA between $287m and $297m.

Group-wide revenue was up 62.3% to $269.9m, with $166.3m shown alongside it. EBITDA was up 156.4% to $87.1m, with $34m shown alongside it. Company leadership has taken further confidence from $54m in free cash flow recorded during Q3.

For the year to date, revenue was $653.3m, up 52.3% from $429m a year earlier, and EBITDA was $163.7m, up 86.2% from $87.9m. The year-to-date net loss was $147.9m, up 62% from $90m a year earlier.

The firm signed deals with Kalshi and Polymarket in Q3. It also launched a comparison site for prediction markets. Genius is now looking to use data from its partners to enter the growing prediction markets scene.

Legend, a sports media business, was acquired for $1.2bn earlier this year. The share price of Genius Sports initially fell amid a lack of market confidence in the takeover. Since then, the group has insisted that buying Legend was the right move. Chief executive Mark Locke said: "Legend is also creating additional commercial value, and we are seeing the benefits of our combined scale."

The network's segment carried the title “Betting on the Midterm Elections,” and within it CNBC displayed a full-screen chart credited to Tater under the heading “Kalshi Traders and the Blue Wave.”
