Genius Sports completed its acquisition of Legend, publisher of Casino.org, Casino Guru and Covers.com, the company said. The deal was valued at up to $1.2bn, comprising $800m in cash, $100m in stock and an earnout of up to $300m over two years after closing; Genius Sports said the websites recorded 320 million visits in 2025.
The acquisition adds a portfolio of gambling affiliate websites to Genius Sports’ business.

Genius Sports has launched Prediction.com, a consumer platform that compares markets, prices and probabilities from multiple prediction-market operators. Developed through its Legend division, the service displays market information but does not let users trade contracts. In Italy, the report says, the platform may show prices from sites blocked by ADM without restoring direct access or enabling trading.
Genius Sports reported group revenue of $188 million for the three months ended 31 March 2026, up 30.5% year on year. The company said its net loss rose to $55.2 million, mainly because of the Legend acquisition and foreign-currency movements. It raised its 2026 outlook to revenue of $990 million-$1.01 billion and adjusted EBITDA of $270 million-$280 million, citing the acquisition.
Reportedly, Genius Sports lifted its 2026 guidance after second-quarter revenue rose 64.7%. In its first quarter as a combined business with Legend, media revenue nearly tripled, while acquisition costs weighed on results.
Analysts issued views on Genius Sports, Virginia historical horse racing and Las Vegas Strip gaming, according to the report. B Riley Securities cited active customer proposals following Genius Sports’ Legend acquisition; Jefferies reported Virginia historical horse racing revenue rose 2.5% year on year in May, while Truist said Strip gross gaming revenue increased 7% year on year in April.
Genius Sports chief executive Mark Locke told investors that the company provides data, settlement and integrity services to prediction-market platforms, and data and pricing to market makers. Locke said Genius Sports already has agreements with Kalshi and Polymarket and argued that demand for sports wagering could persist even if individual platforms struggle. The company also serves traditional sportsbooks through its data and media businesses.
