Finnish Parliament approves gambling reform bill for 2027 market opening
Finland’s Parliament approved a gambling reform bill at second reading, sending it to the president for approval. The law would open a competitive market on 1 July 2027, with licensing and authorisation due to begin in March 2026. It also restricts marketing, bans influencer advertising and shifts supervision to a new National Supervisory Authority when the Act takes effect.
Operators face a defined licensing timetable and marketing limits ahead of Finland’s planned competitive market opening.
