Federal judge clears Nevada regulators to enforce sports-contract rules against Kalshi

Regulation

A federal judge in Nevada dissolved Kalshi’s preliminary injunction on Monday, allowing state regulators to pursue action over its sports event contracts. Kalshi said it disagreed and planned to seek Ninth Circuit review; Nevada regulators said the company had not stopped operating and they would oppose a stay. The judge also denied Robinhood temporary protection, and the brokerage agreed in principle to stop offering new sports contracts in Nevada pending further proceedings.

The ruling leaves Kalshi exposed to Nevada enforcement and requires Robinhood to stop new Nevada sports-contract offers pending further proceedings.
