Gambling regulators from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland signed a joint declaration on cooperation during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Portugal’s SRIJ said. They said they would work together on player protection, betting rules and action against prediction-market platforms that breach local requirements. The declaration also calls for cross-border information sharing and urges sports organisations to check platform legality before entering partnerships.

Operators and sports organisations face coordinated scrutiny of betting compliance and prediction-market partnerships across nine jurisdictions.
