Nine European regulators coordinate action on unlicensed prediction markets

Enforcement & compliance

Regulators from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland announced a joint initiative against prediction market operators offering products without local gambling licences. They plan to share information and monitor advertising and betting integrity, and said possible measures include warnings, service blocking, fines, advertising restrictions and account freezes.

Prediction market operators and partners face coordinated licensing scrutiny, information sharing and possible enforcement across participating jurisdictions.
