Estonia sets 1 March start for restored 5.5% remote gambling tax
Estonia’s parliament was due to hold a final vote on an amendment to the Gambling Tax Act on 10 February, according to the report. The amendment would apply a 5.5% tax to remote games of chance and skill from 1 March 2026, after an earlier wording error left online casino operators effectively exempt; the change would not apply retroactively.
The proposed start date affects when online casino operators would resume paying gambling tax in Estonia.
