Esplugues de Llobregat suspends processing of gambling venue licences for up to a year
Esplugues de Llobregat’s council voted on 22 December to suspend for up to a year the processing of licences for new or expanded gambling venues in the municipality, reportedly. The suspension will allow a study of the sector and whether to introduce specific planning rules, including examination of venues’ proximity to schools and places serving children and young people.
The suspension pauses applications for new or expanded gambling venues while the council assesses possible planning restrictions.
