Bergamo’s police chief revoked a company’s licence to install and operate VLTs at a venue in Trescore Balneario on 10 August 2026, after authorities found the premises were mainly operating as a bar. Police said inspections had found customers using the venue for food and drink, and local officers confirmed its operation as a bar; further checks at other venues are continuing.
Venice police suspended a gaming and betting venue in Noale for 10 days after inspections found irregularities, according to reports. Officers said staff lacked the required authorisations and identified breaches of Veneto rules on opening hours, mandatory operating breaks and venue lighting.

In a decree of 17 October 2026, the section president halted the contested measures, allowing gaming and food and beverage service to resume. Catania police suspended a betting shop’s licence for seven days after an administrative inquiry and repeated inspections, according to a report on 5 October 2026. The Questura said people with criminal records for serious offences had been repeatedly present at the venue; the order was issued under Article 100 of the TULPS.
Novara State Police suspended for five days the licence of a gaming hall in Cureggio, in the province of Novara. The measure followed findings that customers could obtain cash inside the venue, a practice authorities said breached banking law and circumvented Piedmont rules restricting gaming halls near cash machines.
