EEEP refers 18 influencers to prosecutors over illegal gambling promotion
Greece’s Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEEP) referred 18 influencers and streamers to prosecutors over alleged promotion of illegal gambling platforms to an audience of more than 3 million followers. The EEEP said the parliamentary-approved framework extends enforcement to commercial communicators promoting unauthorised operators, with administrative penalties of €5,000 to €50,000 per violation.
The action puts influencers and other commercial communicators within the stated scope of enforcement against illegal gambling promotion.
