Council of State sends Sisal-Bolzano licence dispute back to regional court
Italy’s Council of State has sent Sisal Italia’s dispute with Bolzano over a betting licence back to the regional administrative court for a merits hearing. The court ruled that its 2024 decision addressed distance rules, not whether the licence had expired on 31 December 2015; it did not decide whether Sisal may continue operating.
Sisal’s licence expiry remains unresolved, leaving the regional court to hear the merits of the dispute.
