Congressional committee urges Spain to extend minimum self-exclusion to one year
Spain’s Joint Congress-Senate Committee on Addiction Problems approved a People’s Party proposal urging the Government to raise the minimum voluntary self-exclusion period from six months to one year. The proposal also calls for clinical criteria and expert consultation, and suggests studying follow-up and support measures; it passed with 18 votes in favour, while the PSOE, Vox and Sumar abstained.
A longer minimum exclusion period could change the duration of restrictions for people registered to avoid gambling.
