Brightstar subsidiaries signed a multi-year contract extension with Mauritius lottery operator Lottotech, according to an official statement reported in the coverage. The agreement covers a central lottery system and replacement retailer terminals using Brightstar’s RetailerPro S2 hardware and OpenRetail platform.
The extension commits Lottotech to a new central system and terminal rollout across its lottery operations.

FDJ United is interested in competing for Austria’s lottery licence, Giovanna D’Esposito, its chief international lotteries officer, said. She said the company’s participation would depend on the tender terms and that it was in advanced talks with two or three potential partners. The tender is expected this autumn, with bidders required to pay €40 million to enter.
Austria's new gambling law is under review, and the finance ministry is expected to tender new lottery licences in autumn, according to a report. Brightstar is developing a consortium, while another unnamed major bidder has formally entered the race; Casinos Austria and its majority owner Allwyn also have interests in the lottery business.
ADM director Antonio Giuliani urged Italy to update gambling rules, saying regulations for physical gaming machines date to 2013 and betting concessions remain extended under tenders published in 2009 and 2010. He said online gambling has stronger security and player-protection tools, and argued that reform is needed to allow newer technology in land-based gambling.
Brightstar Lottery said its subsidiary Brightstar Global Solutions Corporation signed a five-year extension with the Oregon Lottery, running through 23 May 2031. The agreement covers central-system upgrades, 2,200 SignaLink digital-signage units and 1,000 Retailer Pro S2 terminals. The Oregon Lottery said the work will upgrade its technology and retailer equipment.
Bally’s Intralot said it signed a contract with Chilean lottery operator Polla Chilena de Beneficencia to provide lottery, sports betting and digital solutions. The agreement runs for up to 12 years, with an option for a further two, and includes about 2,500 lottery terminals; Polla’s website and mobile applications will also be updated.
