Brazilian football betting sponsorships may fall in 2027, market professionals predict

Deals & M&A

Sports-market professionals expect Brazilian football clubs’ betting sponsorship values to fall in 2027, reportedly returning to levels seen by July 2025, even if the government measure is changed or expires. The cited estimates put Flamengo’s potential main-shirt deal at about R$115 million a year, down 57% from R$268 million, and Fluminense’s at R$40 million, down 24.5% from R$53 million. These are projections, not announced cuts.

The forecast points to lower sponsorship income for clubs that rely on betting brands.
