Brazilian committee schedules vote on proposal to allocate betting revenue to federal police

Regulation

A Brazilian congressional committee is due to vote on 30 June on a report proposing that part of fixed-odds betting revenue go to the Federal Police fund. The proposal sets transfers at 1% in 2026, 2% in 2027 and 3% from 2028, and would allow the federal government to transfer up to R$ 200 million in 2026. The measure is already in force but requires approval by the committee and both houses of Congress to become law.

The proposal could change how fixed-odds betting revenue is allocated in Brazil if Congress approves it.
