Brazil committee postpones vote on betting revenue allocation to police fund
Brazil's Joint Congressional Committee postponed consideration of a report on provisional measure MP 1,348/2026, which proposes directing fixed-odds betting revenue to the Federal Police Fund. The proposal sets allocations of 1% in 2026, 2% in 2027 and 3% from 2028, with transfers to the fund capped at BRL 200 million in 2026. The committee was due to discuss and vote on the report on 1 July.
The proposal could change how Brazil allocates regulated betting revenue if Congress makes the measure permanent.
