Brazil Senate committee approves proposal to allocate betting tax revenue to military sport

Regulation

Brazil’s Senate Sports Committee approved bill PL 6124/2025, which proposes directing part of tax revenue from licensed sports betting to the Brazilian Military Sports Commission. The proposal estimates an allocation of BRL 0.30 to BRL 0.40 per BRL 1,000 in regulated betting income. It is expected to proceed to the Senate’s Committee on Economic Affairs.

If passed, the bill would change how regulated betting tax revenue is allocated in Brazil.
