Brazil’s SPA requires betting blocks for Desenrola Brasil beneficiaries
Brazilian betting platforms must block new registrations and stop existing customers enrolled in Desenrola Brasil from betting, under rules taking effect from the previous Friday. The SPA said its Sigap system can identify beneficiaries; operators must check new customers at registration and existing customers at their first daily login. The rules also require account suspension within three days of a check and cancellation of open bets when a customer is flagged.
Operators must integrate beneficiary checks and meet account-blocking, customer-notification and open-bet cancellation requirements.
