Brazil ministries sign betting-related mental health cooperation agreement
Brazil’s Finance and Health ministries signed a technical cooperation agreement on 3 December to coordinate prevention, harm reduction and care for people experiencing problems related to fixed-odds betting. The government said a centralised self-exclusion platform covering all betting sites authorised by the SPA-MF would become available on 10 December, alongside existing company-level exclusion options.
Operators authorised by the SPA-MF will be covered by a government-wide self-exclusion tool and information-sharing framework.
